
100-Year Old Fan Meets Coach Boeheim

Henrietta Auer, who is set to turn 100 years-old in just over a week on Friday, March 14, got the chance of a lifetime today to meet legendary men's basketball head coach Jim Boeheim before practice.
Auer has been watching SU basketball for years and has the opportunity to attend two games a year at the Carrier Dome when James Square, a long-term care health and rehabilitation center, buses residents up to the venue for watch the Orange in action.
For all other games, however, Auer tunes into her television set and places a large sign on her door that reads "Do Not Distrub," which means she is watching Syracuse.
Her friends and family in attendance at the practice said that Auer was "speechless" upon meeting the Hall-of-Fame coach.
