Donte Greene and Arinze Onuaku’s summer league stints came to a close Friday, July 11
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – On Friday, July 11, the NBA Orlando Summer League came to a close, marking an end to summer league play for two former Syracuse players. The league took place from July 5 through July 10 and featured 10 teams, three of which had a former 'Cuse player on its roster.
Donte Greene of the Brooklyn Nets and Arinze Onuaku of the Indianna Pacers will wait to see if they receive an offer from a NBA franchise. Jerami Grant and the Philadelphia 76ers will get another go at summer league play in the Las Vegas League.
Greene finished the five-game stretch with 47 points (9.4 points per game) and 18 rebounds (3.6 rebounds per game). The Nets finished the Orlando League with a 1-4 record.
The Pacers finished 4-1 with Onuaku averaging eight points per game and ranking second on the team and fifth in the league with 7.5 rebounds per game.
Jerami Grant wrapped up the first of two summer league stints on Wednesday of last week. The 76ers posted a 3-1 record with Grant finishing league play strong with back-to-back 12-point, five-rebound games. Grant averaged 7.2 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.
Grant and four other former 'Cuse players are currently playing in the Las Vegas League. The league wraps up Tuesday, July 15.
