
Nabke Joins Student-Athlete Development Team

Robert Nabke brings seven years experience to the Orange's academic staff.
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Robert Nabke brings seven years of experience to the Syracuse University Athletics Department to his role as assistant director of student-athlete development. He began his career in academics as a graduate assistant for Marquette in their Athletic Academic Services Department in 2007.
Prior to joining the Syracuse staff, Nabke worked at Creighton University as a transition leader, helping to implement a comprehensive academic process for the men's basketball program as the university moved from the Missouri Valley Conference to the Big East Conference during the 2013-14 season.
Nabke's prior experience also includes serving as an assistant director of academic services at Iowa State University from 2009-13. He was primarily responsible for academic counseling for men's basketball and football, leading both teams to achieve their highest team GPAs in recorded history along with 100% eligibility. During the 2008-09 academic year, Nabke worked at the University of New Mexico in academic support.
A native of New Berlin, Wisconsin, Nabke is a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletes (N4A). He earned a bachelor's degree in history and secondary education from Grand Canyon University in 2006, where he lettered in baseball, and a master's degree in leadership studies from Marquette University in 2008.
