
Syracuse Adds Louisiana Tech To Schedule

SYRACUSE, NY – Louisiana Tech will return to the Carrier Dome for the first time since the 1988-89 season when Syracuse hosts the Bulldogs on Sunday, December 14.
The two clubs have met once previously. Syracuse defeated Louisiana in the championship game of the 1988 Carrier Classic, 106-98 in overtime.
Louisiana Tech was 29-8 a season ago. Coach Michael White guided the Bulldogs to a second straight Conference USA regular-season title. Louisiana Tech lost in the Conference USA Tournament final and then posted a 2-1 record in the NIT.
The Bulldogs feature senior guard Kenneth Smith, who ranked second in Division I assist average (7.7) and was a first-team All-Conference USA selection. Junior guard Alex Hamilton, a third-team All-Conference USA pick, averaged 14.5 points and 3.6 rebounds per game in 2013-14.
SU earned its sixth consecutive NCAA Tournament berth and finished with a 28-5 overall record, last season. The Orange won 25 straight games to start the season and was ranked first in both national polls for three weeks.
Coach Jim Boeheim, owner of the second most coaching victories in Division I history (948), will guide his alma mater for the 39th season.
Deposits for 2014-15 Men's Basketball season tickets are on sale now for only $125 each, and provide priority seating before the general public on-sale which starts on September 3. Individual game tickets will go on sale in mid-October.
