Mike Gennaro and Natalie Mastracci are competing for Team USA and Team Canada Respectively in the Event
A pair of Syracuse rowing alums are making their push for finals of the 2014 World Rowing Championships.
Natalie Mastracci '13 and Mike Gennaro '11 are competing for Team USA and Team Canada respectively at the event in Amsterdam.
Gennaro competed in the semifinal of the men's four with a time of 5:55.53, en route to a second-place finish in the heat, helping advance his boat to the finals.
Natalie Mastracci raced in the Women's Eight with a time of 6:20.960, winning the heat and advancing.
Mastracci won a silver medal with the Canadian women's eight at the 2012 London Olympics, the summer prior to her senior season at Syracuse.
Gennaro was an alternate on the 2012 Olympic Team for the United States.
