Orange come out of the locker room on an 18-7 run
A strong second half powered the No. 25/24 Orange over Boston College to move to 3-2 on the season in ACC play and move to 13-5 overall.
After the Eagles held a two point advantage in the waning moments of the first half, Syracuse scored the final four points of the frame to begin a 22-7 run that allowed 'Cuse to pull away on Sunday.
After a slow start from the Orange, a pair of triples from Butler and Morrison evened the game up at 14.
Morrison would continue her hot streak with a pair of 3-pointers to give the Orange its largest lead of the half at 20-14. However, eight-straight points from the Eagles allowed
Boston College to take a 22-20 lead before a Danielle Minott layup and a pair of Peterson free throws gave 'Cuse a 24-22 lead at the break.
The 24 first half points was the second lowest this season, behind a 22 point first-half effort in the season opener against Fordham. Syracuse shot just 29-percent in the half.
From there, it was all Orange. Syracuse opened up the half on an 18-7 run and continued to pull away from there. Taylor Ford led 'Cuse with a season-high 15 points in the game, 13 of which came after halftime.
Diamond Henderson (13) and Alexis Peterson (11) each added double-figures. For Peterson, it was the 11th straight contest in which she recorded double digit points. She also dished out a game-high six assists.
Brianna Butler finished with nine for 'Cuse while adding six boards and three assists.
Bria Day started her first-career game for the Orange as well.
Next, Syracuse will return to the court when it takes on Pitt on the road on Thursday. Tipoff is slated for 7 p.m.
