SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse looks to return to its winning ways when it hosts Boston College on Tuesday, Jan. 20. The game is presented by KeyBank and tips off at 7 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
Tickets for Tuesday's game are available online, by phone (1-888-DOMETIX) or in person at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B). The game will be televised on ESPNU and ESPN3. Fans not in attendance can listen to the action on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network and its flagship TK99 (99.5 FM). Live audio will be available on CuseTV on Cuse.com. What to Watch For – Syracuse (13-5, 4-1)
1. Senior Rakeem Christmas is the ACC Player of the Week after averaging 28.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in two games last week. Christmas' 35 points in Syracuse's win against Wake Forest is the highest total for an Orange center since 1976.
2. Sophomore Tyler Roberson continued his impressive work on the boards at Clemson, grabbing a team-high 13 rebounds. He has recorded 10 or more rebounds in three of his last five games. During that stretch, Roberson is averaging 10.6 rebounds per game.
3. Freshman Kaleb Joseph was one of three members of the Orange to reach double figures in scoring at Clemson. He was 5-for-13 from the field and 2-for-2 from the free throw line for 12 points.
What to Watch For – Boston College (8-8, 0-4)
1. Boston College will try for its first conference victory when it visits the Dome Tuesday. The Eagles lost to Virginia, 66-51, on Saturday and are now 0-4 in ACC play. Boston College has lost five of its last seven games and is 8-8 this season.
2. Junior Olivier Hanlan leads the Eagles' offense. He ranks sixth in the ACC in scoring (16.5 ppg.) and is fifth in assists (4.63 apg.). Junior Dennis Clifford is Boston College's man in the middle. He leads the team in rebounding (5.9 rpg.) and blocked shots (21).
3. Jim Christian is in his first season at the helm of the Boston College program. He served as the head coach at Ohio for the past two season where he led the Bobcats to a record of 49-22 and a Mid-American Conference regular-season title.
THE SERIES
Syracuse leads the all-time series with Boston College, 41-24. The Eagles defeated the Orange, 62-59, in the Carrier Dome last season for SU's first loss of the season after starting the season with 25 consecutive victories.
