2015 Football Schedule Features Three September Dome Games
12/18/2014 1:32:00 PM | Football
The Carrier Dome will be the place to be in September for all Syracuse football fans. The 2015 Orange will play three home non-conference games in the Dome, beginning with Rhode Island on September 5. Syracuse will also host Central Michigan on September 19 and Louisiana State on September 26. In addition, Syracuse will have home Atlantic Coast Conference games against Boston College, Clemson, Pittsburgh and Wake Forest. The road schedule includes games at South Florida (October 10) and at four ACC schools, including Florida State, Louisville, North Carolina State and Virginia. Eight opponents played in bowl games in 2014.
The Orange is 2-0 against both Rhode Island and Central Michigna. Syracuse beat URI in home games in 2002 and 2011, and defeated the Chippewas in 1999 in the Carrier Dome and at CMU in 2014. The Orange has played LSU in two bowl games and is 1-1 against the Tigers, including a 13-10 loss in the 1964 Sugar Bowl and a 23-10 victory in the 1989 Hall of Fame Bowl in Tampa. Syracuse played South Florida eight times while both schools were members of the BIG EAST Conference, including Syracuse's thrilling 37-36 come-from-behind victory in 2012 in Tampa.
New 2015 season tickets are on sale now at the Carrier Dome Box Office and by phone (1-888-DOMETIX). Fans can place a $75 deposit for new season tickets and select a location after the renewal deadline for current season ticket holders. Renewal information for current season ticket holders will be mailed in January.
