SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse and St. Bonaventure will meet on the hardwood for the first time since 2009 on Tuesday, Nov. 17 in the Carrier Dome. Opening tip is set for 7 p.m.

BOEHEIM TIPS OFF 40TH SEASON
The game against Lehigh marked the opening of head coach Jim Boeheim's 40th season as head coach at his alma mater. The victory improved his record in season openers to 36-4.

ORANGE DEBUTS
Three members of the Orange made their official Syracuse debuts in the season opener against Lehigh. Malachi Richardson was part of the starting five and finished with 14 points, six rebounds and three steals. Franklin Howard and Tyler Lydon came off the bench for Syracuse. Lydon led the squad with 11 rebounds to go along with four points, two assists, two blocks and three steals.

LONG-RANGE SHOOTING
Syracuse attempted 34 three-point field goals in its season-opening victory. The Orange converted on 11 of those attempts (.324). Malachi Richardson was the most accurate long-range shooter against the Mountain Hawks, hitting 4-of-9 attempts.

BACKCOURT STABILITY
The Orange entered the season looking for leadership from Michael Gbinije and Trever Cooney and the pair did not disappoint in the season opener. Gbinije led the squad with 16 points, while Cooney was one of three Orange in double figures with 13 points.

BONNIES RETURN TO DOME
Syracuse and St. Bonaventure first met during the 1923-24 season. The teams have played 26 times, with the Orange winning 23 of those contests. The squads played at least once a year from 1976-77 through 1987-88. The last meeting took place on Dec. 19, 2009 in the Carrier Dome, an 85-72 victory for Syracuse.
