SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The Orange returns to the Carrier Dome on Sunday, November 8 to face the Florida Southern Moccasins in its final preparation for the 2015-16 season. The opening tip in the Carrier Dome is slated for 2 p.m.

The Orange is coming off a win in its first exhibition game of the 2015-16 season against LeMoyne. Syracuse defeated the Dolphins, 97-58. Senior guard Michael Gbinije led Syracuse offensively with 21 points, recording five three-pointers. Center DaJuan Coleman returned from a season-ending injury a year ago to post 15 points as five players reached double figures in scoring. Returning forward Tyler Roberson grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds for the Orange. Freshman starter Malachi Richardson recorded 13 points and seven rebounds in his Syracuse debut. The Orange held a 32-15 advantage in bench points.

The Moccasins are the defending NCAA Division II national champions. Florida Southern went 36-1 last season to earn the second national title in school history. It faced off against 2015 NCAA Division I national champion Duke in its exhibition opener, losing 112-68 at Cameron Indoor Stadium. Senior guard Dominique Williams led Florida Southern against the Blue Devils with 15 points and four rebounds. Michael Volovic contributed 13 points to the offensive unit.

The matchup against Florida Southern is the final exhibition game for the Orange. Syracuse opens the 2015-16 regular season against Lehigh on Friday, November 13 at 7 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.
