SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- After a five-day hiatus for final exams, Syracuse begins a three-game homestand on Saturday, Dec. 19. The Orange will host Central New York foe Cornell in the first of the three games at 12 p.m. on in the Carrier Dome.

TOP 5 STORYLINES TO FOLLOW
RETURN TO THE DOME
The Orange returns to Jim Boeheim Court after a trip to Madison Square Garden. Syracuse owns a record of 4-1 at home this season. Its last game in the Carrier Dome was a 78-51 victory over long-time foe Colgate.

STICKY FINGERS
Syracuse has been dominating the ACC statistics in steals so far this season. The Orange is ranked first in the conference in total steals and steals per game. In the latest NCAA statistics, Syracuse is 17th in total steals and 15th in steals per game. Three of the top five spots in the ACC rankings for steals per game belong to the Orange. Grad student Michael Gbinije ranks first in the ACC and sixth in the NCAA stats with 2.9 steals per game, while fellow graduate student Trevor Cooney claims second with 2.00. Freshman Tyler Lydon is tied for fourth with 1.50 steals per game.

GBINIJE FOR THREE
Graduate student Michael Gbinije leads the Orange this season in points and three-point field-goals. He has recorded 198 points so far this season. He leads the Orange and the ACC in three-point field-goals made with 34, which ranks 17th in the nation.

OFF THE BENCH
Syracuse has been averaging 12.8 points from the bench this season. Leading the Syracuse reserves is freshman forward Tyler Lydon. Lydon averages 10.2 points and 7.4 rebounds a game for the Orange. Lydon registered his second double-double of the season against St. John's at Madison Square Garden in the Orange's last contest.

CNY FOE
Saturday marks the 121st meeting between the Orange and the Big Red. Syracuse leads the series 89-31. The two last met in December of last season with the Orange taking the victory, 61-44.

Cornell enters the game on a two-game winning streak, which has improved its record to 5-4. Robert Hatter and Matt Morgan lead the Big Red offense. Hatter is averaging 19.6 points per game, while Morgan is contributing 14.4 points per contest.
