
Monk to be Honored at Washington Football Legends Dinner

Syracuse alum and All-American Wide Receiver Art Monk will be honored at this year's Washington Football Legends Charity Benefit and Auction.

A member of Syracuse University's Board of Trustees, Monk is one of the few players to earn selection to both the College Football Hall of Fame (2012) and the Pro Football Hall of Fame (2008). He ended his 15-year professional career as the first wide receiver in NFL history to top 900 receptions, finishing with 940 career catches.

The Washington Football Legends Scholarship Gala is a nostalgic evening of tribute, food and fun to honor football legends in our nation's capital & provide scholarships for minority higher education assistance.

Monk will be honored alongside current Redskins' wide receiver Desean Jackson, former Navy quarterback Keenan Reynolds and Jim Vance.
