SAAC Sponors Successful Shoe Drive

The Syracuse University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) partnered with the Syracuse Rescue Mission to hold a successful shoe drive at the Orange men's basketball game against Louisville on Wednesday, Feb. 18.
Athletic department staff, coaches, student-athletes and the Syracuse community came together to collect more than 150 pairs of gently used shoes to donate to local residents.
SAAC is composed of Syracuse student-athletes representing their respective sport with many similar goals in mind. These common goals include:
1. to provide open communication between Syracuse University student-athletes and the SU Athletics Department, ACC Conference and the NCAA.
2. to provide educational and social programming opportunities that will benefit the student-athletes who attend Syracuse University.
3. To actively develop opportunities and participate in our 'CUSE CARES Community Outreach Program.
4. Encourage team support throughout all student-athletes who attend Syracuse University. Any student-athlete who is attending Syracuse University is encouraged to be an active member of SAAC.
