More Christmas! All-America Honor For Rak!

Syracuse center Rakeem Christmas (www.cuse.com/rak-city) has been named Sporting News Third Team All-American. Christmas, who has already earned ACC Most Improved Player, Co-Defensive Player of the Year and All-ACC First Team, is a finalist for a number of national awards.
Christmas is one of five finalists for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year Award. Fans can vote on the Award at: www.hoophallawards.com
He is also one of 15 finalists for the John R. Wooden Award presented by Wendy's on ESPN College GameDay. Christmas is one of 14 finalists for the Oscar Robertson Award.
Christmas averaged a squad-best 17.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, a 2.5 blocks per game in 2014-15. He started all 31 games, scored in double digits in 29 of those outings, and averaged 34.3 minutes per game. He earned his undergraduate degree in three years and has been working toward a master's degree this year.
