
Richardson In McDonald's Land

Incoming Syracuse freshman Malachi Richardson will participate in the annual McDonald's All-American Game on Wednesday, April 1. The game is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. in Chicago's United Center and will be televised by ESPN.
Richardson, who was named the Gatorade New Jersey State Player of the Year last week, is a 6-6 guard who helped Trenton Catholic Academy to finals of the South Jersey Non-Public B Tournament this past season.
In addition to his McDonald's All-American recognition, Richardson has earned Jordan Brand Classic All-American recognition. He is schedule to play in the Jordan Brand Classic game on April 17.
Trenton Catholic was 22-5 in 2014-15. Richardson averaged 20.2 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 1.9 steals as a senior with the Lions. He scored in double digits in 26-of-27 games and had a season-high 34 points in a 75-59 victory against Rancocas Valley. Richardson was coached by Fred Falchi.Â
Richardson is one of four high school seniors who have signed National Letters of Intent with Syracuse. He joins Moustapha Diagne from Pope John XXIII (N.J.), Paul VI (D.C.) product Franklin Howard and Tyler Lydon from New Hampton School.
