Christmas ACC's Most Improved and Co-Defensive Player of the Year by Coaches.
GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Monday continued to be a day of recognition for Syracuse graduate student Rakeem Christmas with his selection as the ACC Most Improved Player and the league's Co-Defensive Player of the Year, in voting by the league's 15 head coaches.
Christmas  was also named First Team All-ACC and to the ACC All-Defensive Team.
Christmas was joined on the First Team All-ACC squad by Duke freshman Jahlil Okafor, Notre Dame senior Jerian Grant, Virginia junior Malcolm Brogdon and Boston College's Olivier Hanlan, a junior.
Christmas led the Orange in scoring (17.5 ppg.), rebounding (9.1 rpg.) and blocked-shot (2.5 bpg.) averages. He started all 31 ames and logged an average of 34.3 minutes per game, the third highest total on the team.
