
Syracuse vs. Wisconsin In 2015 Big Ten/ACC Challenge

SYRACUSE, NY – Syracuse will host defending NCAA Runner-up Wisconsin in the 17th annual Big Ten/ACC Challenge on Wednesday, December 2, in the Carrier Dome.
ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPNU will combine to televise the 14 matchups in the 2015 event.
Syracuse defeated Indiana, 69-52 in 2013, the program's first appearance in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Last year the Orange lost at Michigan, 68-65.
Syracuse has won two of three meetings with Wisconsin. The most recent matchup came in the 2012 NCAA East Region semifinal which resulted in a 64-63 Orange triumph.
In addition to Wisconsin, the 2015 Big Ten/ACC Challenge also features 2015 Final Four participants Michigan State and Duke. The Blue Devils won the 2014 NCAA crown by defeating the Badgers. The two conferences combined to place 13 teams in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. Duke, Louisville, NC State, North Carolina, Notre Dame and Virginia represented the ACC while the Big Ten had Indiana, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue and Wisconsin in the postseason event.
The league which wins the most games in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge earns the Commissioner's Cup. A year ago the Big Ten took eight of 14 matchups.
The ACC won the Commissioner's Cup in the first 10 years of the Challenge, from 1999-2008. The Big Ten claimed the crown for the next three years, 2009-2011, and the two conferences split 12 pairings in 2012 and 2013.
