Macartney to Play in North-South Game

Senior LSM collected 40 ground balls in 2015
PERRY, N.Y. – Syracuse senior Peter Macartney has been named to the North roster for the 2015 USILA/LaxWorld North-South Senior All-Star Game. The annual clash pits a team of seniors from Division I and II Northern schools against a group of Division I and II seniors from Southern institutions.
This year's game is scheduled for Friday, May 22 at Cabrini College in Radnor, Pa. Faceoff is at 5:30 p.m. The Division III senior all-star game precedes the Division I/II contest and starts at 3 p.m.
The Orange's top LSM, Macartney was third on the team with 40 ground balls in 2015. He also forced seven turnovers. Macartney tied his career high with six ground balls in SU's 12-9 win against Army on Feb. 22. Two weeks later, he scored a goal to help lead the Orange to a 14-6 victory over St. John's at the Cobb County Classic.
Macartney's inclusion on the North roster marks the 34th time since 1979 that Syracuse has had a representative compete in the annual showcase.
