SYRACUSE, N.Y. (SyracuseChiefs.com) -- The Syracuse Chiefs are pleased to host a Super Saturday in partnership with the Crowne Plaza Hotel of Syracuse on Saturday, Aug 29. The night will prominently feature Syracuse University Athletics, with guests from the University and special Syracuse-University-themed jerseys. In addition, the night will include a Scooch bobblehead giveaway, the famous Cowboy Monkeys and a postgame fireworks show, before, during and after the Chiefs play the Lehigh Valley IronPigs at 7:05 p.m.
"We want to pack the house on the year's biggest Super Saturday yet," said Chiefs general manager Jason Smorol. "Nothing is bigger in this town than the Syracuse Orange and we can't wait to join forces with them for another epic night! This is what the Chiefs are all about – bringing our community together. We have a great night for the fans with giveaways, entertainment, fireworks and more. Thanks to our great friends at Crowne Plaza for helping us make this Saturday as super as possible."
The first 1,000 fans will receive a bobblehead of Chiefs mascot Scooch, sponsored by Crowne Plaza. One of those 1,000 fans will receive a special Golden Scooch bobblehead. That person will win two 2016 Chiefs season tickets, a one-night stay at the Crowne Plaza Syracuse, four VIP passes to the 2015 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship, held Sept. 18-27 at the Onondaga Nation and in Syracuse, and two tickets to Miranda Lambert's Lakeview Amphitheater-opening concert on Thursday, Sept 3. The other 999 Scooch bobbleheads will be divided into 333 bobbleheads of Scooch in this year's Chiefs home jersey, 333 of Scooch in this year's away jersey and 333 of Scooch in this year's alternate jersey.
In addition, Crowne Plaza will sponsor the world-famous Cowboy Monkey Rodeo. The Cowboy Monkeys consist of capuchin monkeys riding sheepdogs that herd goats. More information on the Cowboy Monkeys can be found at www.teamghostriders.com.

On Aug. 29, the Chiefs will wear special Syracuse Orange-themed jerseys for one night only. The jerseys will be auctioned off during the game to support the Syracuse chapter of Uplifting Athletes, a national nonprofit organization aligning college football with rare diseases and helping make them a national priority through outreach, research, education and advocacy. Winners will receive the jerseys on the field after the game.
Otto the Orange and members of the Syracuse University Dance Team and Cheerleading Squad will be present, participating in events such as the T-shirt toss. Syracuse University Athletics will also host a table on the concourse with Orange-themed giveaways.
As with every Super Saturday, fans can stay after the final out for a spectacular postgame fireworks display. All Friday home games and Saturday summer home games this season are followed by fireworks.
Tickets for this Super Saturday, presented by Crowne Plaza, and all other Chiefs games are available online at syracusechiefs.com, by calling 474-7833, or in person at the stadium ticket office.
