
Syracuse And St. John's Renew Rivalry

Former BIG EAST Conference partners Syracuse and St. John's will renew their long-time rivalry when the Red Storm hosts the Orange in Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Dec. 13. The two programs signed a home-and-home series agreement which has St. John's coming to the Carrier Dome in 2016-17.
Syracuse has a 51-38 advantage in the all-time series which dates to the 1911-12 campaign. St. John's won the most recent matchup, 69-57, on Dec. 6, 2014 in the Dome. The Orange had won the previous nine meetings.
St. John's is the seventh-most familiar foe in Syracuse's hoop history.
The Red Storm have a familiar face running the men's basketball program – former St. John's All-American Chris Mullin. It marks the first collegiate head coaching position for Mullin, who as a player helped St. John's to the 1985 Final Four. St. John's was 21-12 a year ago and earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament.
Syracuse approaches the 2015-16 campaign with a streak of 44 consecutive winning seasons – the longest active streak in the Division I ranks. The Orange posted an 18-13 overall mark last year.

Deposits for 2015-16 Men's Basketball season tickets are on sale now for only $125 each, and provide priority seating before the general public on-sale, which begins August 25. Individual game tickets will go on sale to the general public on October 14.
