Junior tight end shares memories of his grandfather
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – On Saturday, College Football Hall of Fame coach Dick MacPherson and his family will be honored during Syracuse's ACC opener against Wake Forest on the very field where he worked his craft for 10 seasons (1981-90). During his tenure on the Orange sideline, MacPherson guided the program to five bowl appearances and mentored 37 NFL Draft selections and 10 first-team All-Americans.

Saturday's game is an 'Orange Out.'Â Make sure to wear your orange SU gear to support of the team as it looks to start the year with back-to-back wins. Gates open at 10:30 a.m. and the first 10,000 fans in the Dome will receive a commemorative pin in the shape of 'Coach Mac's' signature orange and blue striped tie. Â
