Mastracci won a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's rowing program has had five alumnae compete at the Olympic Games. Natalie Mastracci '13 was the latest Orange to participate in the Olympics, earning a silver medal at the 2012 Olympics in London.

Mastracci was a four-time CRCA All-Mid-Atlantic Region honoree and two-time First-Team All-American at Syracuse. In her final season on campus, Syracuse finished second in the first varsity eight competition at the 2013 BIG EAST Championship.

The Thorold, Ontario native had a unique collegiate experience. Mastracci competed for Syracuse from 2007-10, before joining the Canadian senior national team full-time. Following the 2012 Olympics, Mastracci rejoined the Orange for her senior season in 2012-13.

Mastracci certainly has had a successful international career. In addition to her silver medal from the 2012 Olympics, she has won three medals at the World Rowing Championships. Mastracci also has earned eight medals in World Rowing Cup competitions.

Cuse TV caught up with the Syracuse women's rowing alumna at the third annual "Evening at Ten Eyck" on Saturday, Sept. 19. Mastracci spoke about her experiences on campus and being honored at the annual event on Saturday.
