Orange Looks to Extend Winning Streak Tuesday

SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- The rv/-- Syracuse men's soccer team goes for its third consecutive victory when it takes on Colgate on Tuesday, Sept. 29 in Hamilton, N.Y. The match is slated to start at 7 p.m. at Beyer-Small '76 Field.

SCOUTING THE ORANGE (5-2-1, 1-1-1 ACC)
Syracuse dominated in a 5-0 victory against ACC foe Pittsburgh on Friday, getting its first win in conference play and improving its record to 5-2-1. Junior Ben Polk (Banbury, UK) played a part in four of the five goals, posting three goals and an assist. Junior Oyvind Alseth (Trondheim, Norway) was also key to the Syracuse offense as he finished with three assists.
The Orange is ranked No. 13 the first RPI rankings released by the NCAA on Monday, Sept. 28. Syracuse is one of five ACC schools ranked in the top 15.
SCOUTING THE RAIDERS (4-2-1, 1-0-0 PATRIOT LEAGUE)
Colgate is coming off an upset win against No. 19 American University on Saturday. Junior Ethan Kutler ranks second in the Patriot League in goals and points per game, and leads his team with 11 points overall. Junior Ricky Brown has started every game in goal for the Raiders. He has a 1.10 goals-against average and a .771 save percentage.
SERIES HISTORY
Tuesday will be the 56th all-time matchup between Colgate and Syracuse. The Raiders have a narrow edge in the series with a 29-26-1 advantage. The Orange has won three of the last four meetings with Colgate, including back-to-back victories in 2012 and 2013.

The Orange returns to conference play on Friday, Oct. 2 when it heads to Durham, N.C. to take on the Duke Blue Devils at 7 p.m.
