
Donahue and Slim Tabbed Scholar-Athletes of the Week

SYRACUSE, N.Y.- Senior Dylan Donahue of the men's lacrosse team and junior Isabella Slim of the women's basketball team are this week's Orange Scholar Athletes of the Week.
Donahue majors in environmental engineering in the College of Engineering and Computer Science. A USILA Third Team All-American and a Tewaaraton Award Nominee last season, the senior enters 2016 with the nation's second-longest active goal-scoring streak. Recently, Donahue was named to Inside Lacrosse's Preseason All-American Second Team. As a member of the All-ACC Team and All-ACC Academic Team in 2015, Donahue led the Orange with 50 goals and ranked second on the team with 71 points. After starting in all 16 games a season ago, Donahue finished eighth nationally with 3.13 goals per game.
Slim majors in economics in the College of Arts and Sciences. The native from Amsterdam, Netherlands has started and played in all 81 games of her career with the Orange. The junior most recently registered six rebounds against North Carolina, which is three shy of her career high. So far this season, Slim is averaging 2.4 rebounds per game and ranks seventh on the team with 39 total.
Donahue and the men's lacrosse team will play its first official game on Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Carrier Dome when the squad takes on Siena at 1 p.m.
Slim and the Orange women's basketball team are back in action at the Carrier Dome this Thursday, Jan. 14 against ACC foe Pittsburgh at 7 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online, by phone at 1-888-DOMETIX, or by visiting the Carrier Dome box office (Gate B) during normal business hours.
