SYRACUSE, N.Y. – After a week off, the Syracuse women's soccer team will get back on the field at No. 10 Duke (7-2-2, 2-0-1) on Sunday afternoon. First kick is scheduled for 1 p.m.
Â
The Orange enter the match with an overall 7-3-2 record and a 0-2-1 record in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Syracuse will look to get back in the winning column after two setbacks last weekend at No. 13 Clemson and Miami.
Â
Syracuse is led in scoring by Alana O'Neill, who has four goals in 2016 and Eva Gordon and Stephanie Skilton each have three. Freshmen Taylor Bennett and Sydney Brackett are the assist leaders for the team with three each.
Â
Duke will be the third ranked opponent for Syracuse this season, with the first two being against No. 20 Notre Dame and No. 13 Clemson. The Orange have a 0-1-1 record against ranked opponents this season.
Â
The last meeting between the two teams was on Sept. 22, 2013. Skilton scored in that game as a freshman. The match ended in a 2-2 tie. That meeting was the only between the Orange and the Blue Devils.
Â
Duke is coming off a 4-0 road win against Virginia Tech on Sunday and a 0-0 tie against Louisville on Thursday. The Blue Devils set at the top of the ACC standings along with Florida State, Clemson, Notre Dame and Louisville.
Â
The match will be streamed on ACC Network Extra.
