Competing in the Head of the Charles for the first time since 2013
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse men's rowing team kicks off its fall season on Sunday at the Head of the Charles in Cambridge, Mass. It marks the first time that Syracuse will compete at the world's largest two-day regatta since 2013.
The Orange will compete in one event on the waters of the Charles River, the championship eight. Head coach Dave Reischman's crew consists of coxswain Dominic Santora, Andrew Reichard, Pieter Kerpestein, Noah Messner, Nick Tavares, Sveta Radovic, Matthew Barni, Mike Glaude, and Sam Busco.
Glaude, Kerpestein, and Tavares all participated in the 2016 World Rowing Championships, this summer in Rotterdam, Netherlands. The Syracuse trio was featured earlier this week in a Cuse TV feature.
Following the Head of the Charles, the Orange will be back in action on Sunday, Oct. 30 at the Princeton Chase in Princeton, N.J.
