‘Cuse hosts Wake Forest, Duke in Women’s Building
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange volleyball team returns home this weekend after a four-game road stand to match up against Wake Forest (9-12, 5-5 ACC) on Friday at 7 p.m. and Duke (15-5, 9-1 ACC) on Sunday at 1 p.m. Both games will be held in the Women's Building and are free to the public.
Syracuse is 4-6 in conference play and 5-15 on the season. Live stats for both matches will be available on Cuse.com.
Syracuse holds a 3-0 all-time series record with the Demon Deacons, as Friday's game marks the fourth time that the pair will meet. Since joining the ACC in 2013, the Orange have played Wake Forest once per year and claimed three consecutive victories.
The last time out, the pair met on road in Winston-Salem, N.C., as the Orange swept the Demon Deacons (25-16, 25-16, 25-13) and dominated on the block, 16.0-1.0.
Sunday's game marks the sixth time that the Blue Devils and the Orange meet on the court. Duke leads the series 1-4, however, the Orange defeated the Blue Devils most recently last year in four sets (25-14, 25-22, 18-25, 25-20) on the road.
Following the home weekend series, the Orange take to the road for a mid-week matchup with Boston College on Wednesday and a Friday game at Virginia.
