SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 8-seed Syracuse will host No. 9-seed North Carolina in the third round of the NCAA Men's Soccer Tournament on Sunday, Nov. 27. The match will take place at Murphy Field at Onondaga Community College (OCC) at 2 p.m.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for youth ages 18 and under and students with a valid ID from any NCAA institution. All tickets sales are cash only. The first 250 Syracuse University will be admitted free of charge. A bus will be available to transport SU students to the game. It will load at 1 p.m. at the College Place bus stop and return to campus 15 minutes after the conclusion of the game.

SECOND-ROUND REWIND
Syracuse (12-3-4) defeated Dartmouth, 3-0, in the NCAA Tournament second round to advance to third round for the third straight year. Senior Sergio Camargo played a part in all three goals for the Orange. He assisted on senior Chris Nanco's goal that gave Syracuse an early lead. He then scored twice for his first multiple-goal game of the season.

SCOUTING THE TAR HEELS
North Carolina came from behind to defeat Florida Gulf Coast, 3-2 in double overtime, in the second round of the NCAA Tournament in Chapel Hill. The win improved the Tar Heels' record to 12-3-3.

Tucker Hume scored twice against Florida Gulf Coast, including the game-winner in the 105th minute. He leads the team in scoring with 18 points (7g, 4a). Nils Bruening has scored a team-best eight goals this season and has 17 points, as does Zach Wright (5g, 7a). Â James Pyle is North Carolina's starting goalkeeper. He has a 0.53 goals-against average and a .787 save percentage this season. He was voted to the 2016 All-ACC Third Team.

THE SERIES
Syracuse and North Carolina will meet for the fifth time overall and the second time in Syracuse this season. The Tar Heels hold a 2-0-2 advantage in the series.

North Carolina traveled to Central New York on September 30. Syracuse outshot the Tar Heels and
recorded more corner kicks, but couldn't take advantage of its opportunities as the match ended in a 0-0 draw. Syracuse goalkeeper Hendrik Hilpert recorded his 12th career shutout in the draw.

UP NEXT…
The winner of Sunday's match will advance to the NCAA Tournament quarterfinals where it will face the winner between Providence and Creighton.
