Syracuse hosts NC State on Military Appreciation Day
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange football team is back in the friendly confines of the Carrier Dome on Saturday afternoon to host NC State in a key ACC Atlantic Division showdown. Both teams are 4-5 and are looking to take the next step toward bowl eligibility. Kickoff is slated for 12:30 p.m. on the ACC Network.
Â
Saturday is Military Appreciation Day. As part of the 'Cuse for the Troops' program, active military members, veterans, and their families who qualify will receive complimentary tickets to watch the Orange and Wolfpack. For $20 fans can sponsor one ticket for a military member. To participate, call 888-DOMETIX.
Â
"Any time you can give back to those guys who give so much ... We don't do enough service for those people," Syracuse head coach Dino Babers said. "I am looking forward to seeing them in the stands in the Carrier Dome on Saturday."
Â
Syracuse has three regular-season games remaining, including two at home. After being on the road for the majority of the time since a three-game homestand to start the season, Babers understands the importance of playing in front of the Syracuse faithful.
Â
"All three of our last three games are winnable," Babers said. "The reason I say that is because of who we are playing and where we are playing them. We want to take those games one at a time."
Tickets for Saturday's NC State game, as well as SU's final home game next week against Florida State, are available online, by phone (888-DOMETIX), at Destiny USA kiosks and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B).
