SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- After a five-day hiatis Syracuse returns to the court to host Cornell on Tuesday, Dec. 27. It will be the final non-conference game for the Orange in 2016-17. Tipoff in the Carrier Dome is set for 7 p.m.

FOR STARTERS

Syracuse enters Tuesday's game with a 7-5 record. The Orange are coming off a loss to St. John's in the Carrier Dome on Dec. 21.
Tyler Lydon scored 16 points against St. John's, marking the fourth consecutive game the sophomore has reached double figures in scoring. He ranks second on the team in scoring, averaging 12.2 points per game.

SCOUTING THE BIG RED

Cornell defeated Southeast Missouri State in its final game in the Continental Tire Las Vegas Invitational to snap a three-game losing streak and improve its record to 3-8.
Matt Morgan leads the Big Red offense, averaging 19.3 points per game. Stone Gettings (14.2 ppg.) and Robert Hatter (14.2) also average double figures in scoring and lead the team in rebounding as they both average 5.3 rebounds per game.
Brian Earl is in his first season at the helm of the Cornell program. Previously, he served as an assistant and associate head coach at Princeton.

THE SERIES
Tuesday's game will be the 122nd meeting between Syracuse and Cornell. The Orange lead the all-time series, 90-31. The two last met in December of last season when Syracuse recorded a 67-46 victory.
