SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse heads back to the Carrier Dome this Saturday, Dec. 9 to play Boston University. Opening tip for the game, which is sponsored by Spectrum Cable, is set for 12:00 p.m. It will be the first meeting between the two schools.

Fans can also watch the game on ACC Network Extra, including the YES Network, and listen to the live broadcast on the Syracuse IMG Radio Network.

Saturday's game is part of a doubleheader with the 20th-ranked Syracuse's women's team, which takes on Niagara at 3 p.m. Tickets are available online, at the Carrier Dome Box Office or by phone (888-DOME-TIX). All fans with tickets to the men's game are invited to stay to cheer on the women. Seating for the women's game is general admission. All women's basketball season ticket holders are welcome to come early to the watch the men's game. They should present their women's basketball season ticket at any ticket booth for a ticket to the men's game.

HELPING THOSE IN NEED
Fans will have two ways to help others in the Syracuse community at Saturday's game.

The Stanley Steemer Toy Drive will benefit the Syracuse Salvation Army's special Christmas Bureau Distribution event. During the last five years, almost 15,000 families and 37,000 children have been served through this event. Fans can drop off new toys or slightly used stuffed animals at Gates A, B, C, M and N.
The Sports Management Club (SPM) at Syracuse University will host its 12th Annual Charity Sports Auction in the backcourt area of the Carrier Dome. The auction begins at 10 a.m. and fans with tickets to the game are invited to enter the Dome through Gates A, B, C and E. This year's action, which features silent bidding on more than 350 items, will benefit the McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy Center.

Syracuse returns to the Carrier Dome where it is undefeated this season.
Graduate student Andrew White III had 14 points against Connecticut. He is the only member of the Orange to reach double figures in scoring all eight games this season.

A CLOSER LOOK AT THE TERRIERS

Boston University won four of its first five games in 2016-17, but has lost four in a row, including an 87-77 setback to Canisius on Wednesday night.
Eric Fanning leads the Terriers' offense, averaging 13.9 points per game. Nick Havener has pulled down a team-best 6.3 rebounds per game, while Kyle Foreman has dished out 35 assists to lead the squad in that category.
Joe Jones is in his sixth season at the helm at Boston University. He has guided the Terriers to a 93-77 record. Previously, Jones served as the associate head coach at Boston College (2010-11) after leading the Columbia program (2003-10).
