CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – Syracuse plays two straight road games to end the regular season beginning Monday, Feb. 29 at No. 7/6 North Carolina. Tip off at the Dean E. Smith Center is set for 7 p.m.

TOP FIVE STORYLINES
GBINIJE LEADS ORANGE PAST NC STATE
Graduate student Michael Gbinije made his final regular-season home game a memorable one when he tallied a career-high 34 points in Syracuse's win against NC State. Twenty-four of his points came on eight 3-pointers on 11 attempts behind the arc. Gbinije also surpassed the 1,000-point plateau in an orange uniform. He leads the Orange in scoring this season, averaging 17.6 points per game.

ACC STANDINGS
Syracuse enters the final week of the regular season in a three-way tie for eighth place in the ACC standings. The Orange, Pittsburgh and Clemson all have a league record of 9-7. North Carolina and Miami are tied for the top spot in the conference with identical 12-4 marks in ACC play.

ORANGE-TAR HEELS ROUND TWO
Syracuse and North Carolina will meet for the second time this season. In the first meeting, the Orange led by six late, but the Tar Heels hit 12-of-13 attempts from the field in the closing minutes to record an 84-73 victory. Grad student Trevor Cooney led the Syracuse offense with 27 points, while freshman Malachi Richardson recorded 16 points and five assists. Isaiah Hicks came off the bench to lead the Tar Heels with 21 points.

SCOUTING THE TAR HEELS
North Carolina enters Monday's game with an overall record of 22-6 after a 79-74 setback at No. 3 Virginia on Saturday. Brice Johnson is averaging a double-double for the Tar Heels, contributing 16.9 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. He is the leading rebounder in the ACC. Johnson is one of four North Carolina players averaging double figures in scoring. The group also includes Justin Jackson (12.4 ppg.), Marcus Paige (12.3 ppg.) and Joel Berry II (12.2 ppg.).

THE SERIES
North Carolina holds a slight 6-4 lead in the series with Syracuse. The Tar Heels have won two of the three meetings between the squads since the Orange joined the ACC.
