ST. LOUIS - Syracuse spent part of its Saturday with a closed practice session at the Scottrade Center, followed by sessions with the media covering the NCAA Tournament in St. Louis.
The Orange (20-13) defeated Dayton, 70-51, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Friday. Syracuse now faces Middle Tennessee (25-9) on, Sunday, March 20 at 6:10 p.m. EST. The game will be televised by TNT.
Coach Jim Boeheim put his team through a 90-minute workout which included a scouting report on the Blue Raiders. Graduate students Trevor Cooney and Michael Gbinije represented the squad in the formal press conference while the rest of the squad was available for interviews in the team locker room.
Boeheim also had his turn in the press conference, after the two captains were finished.
