ACC TOURNAMENT SEEDING AT STAKE
Syracuse, Pittsburgh, Clemson and Virginia Tech all enter the final day of the regular season with identical 9-8 conference records. Those teams are currently tied for seventh place in the league standings, but with Louisville sitting out this year's tournament, they are battling for the No. 6 seed. If Notre Dame loses NC State, it's possible that one of the four teams could jump ahead of the Fighting Irish for the No. 5 seed.

GBINIJE LEADS ORANGE UPSET BID
Graduate student Michael Gbinije tallied 10 of his 17 points in the second to lead Syracuse in its upset bid of No. 8 North Carolina on Big Monday. He was 4-for-10 from the field after intermission and his three-pointer with 2:23 on the clock brought the Orange within one, but that was close as Syracuse could get as the Tar Heels held on for the 75-70 victory.

ORANGE-SEMINOLES ROUND TWO
Syracuse played one of its most complete games of the season in the first meeting with Florida State this season in the Carrier Dome. The Orange shot a season-best 62 percent from the field and posted an 85-72 victory on Feb. 11. Four players finished in double figures for Syracuse, including an impressive 22-point, eight-rebound performance from graduate student Michael Gbinije. The Orange veteran finished shooting 7-of-8 from the floor, including a 4-of-5 effort from three-point territory to lead both sides in scoring. The freshmen tandem of Malachi Richardson and Tyler Lydon also had a solid showing, finishing with 17 and 15 points, respectively. Lydon added a game-high 10 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the campaign.

SCOUTING THE SEMINOLES
Florida State defeated Notre Dame, 77-56, last Saturday to snap a five-game losing streak. The Seminoles are now 17-12 overall and 7-10 in conference action. They also lead the Seminoles on the boards, averaging 5.8 and 5.3 rebounds per game, respectively.
