Four Named to All-ACC Team

The No. 8 Syracuse lacrosse team was well represented on the All-ACC Team, which was announced by the league on Wednesday, with four student-athletes named to the 18-player squad, which was voted on by the league's head coaches.
Senior captains Dylan Donahue and Brandon Mullins were joined by junior midfielders Nick Mariano and Sergio Salcido. Mullins has made the team all-three seasons Syracuse has been in the conference, with Donahue making the roster for the second-straight season. Mariano and Salcido each earned their first nods to the All-ACC team.
Donahue, who owns the nation's longest goals and points streak, is one-of-four attackmen on the All-ACC Team. One of just-17 players in program history to reach the 200-point plateau, Donahue is also a Senior CLASS Award nominee, and is leading the team with 48 points. Donahue ranks third in the ACC in points per game (4.0).
Mullins enters the weekend third all-time in caused turnovers at Syracuse with 67 and has seven caused turnovers in his last-two games. The team's defensive leader, Mullins has 22 caused turnovers and 28 ground balls on the season for 'Cuse.
Mariano has fit in nicely in his first season with the Orange, leading the team with 29 goals out of the Syracuse midfield. The UMass transfer ranks fifth in the ACC in goals per game with 2.42. Mariano also ranks second on the Orange with 35 points.
Salcido enters the ACC Tournament second on the Orange with 21 goals and 13 assists. The Winter Park, Florida native has come on strong of late, recording a career-high five points twice this season, both during ACC games against Duke and North Carolina.
Syracuse will look to defend its ACC Championship this weekend, beginning with a semifinal matchup against top-seed North Carolina on Friday night at 6 p.m. The game will be broadcast on ESPNU.
