SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse University Athletics will celebrate 'Education Day' at events surrounding the Orange Central Weekend football game against USF on Sept. 17. 'Education Day' is an opportunity for teachers, educators and students in the community to rejoice in the opening of school. Part of the celebration will be the kickoff of 'Otto's Reading Program,' which will reward academic excellence in our local schools.
Â
Otto's Reading Program provides free tickets to students who earn a 'B' average. The high-achieving students will be honored during Syracuse's game against Florida State on Nov. 19. The schools in attendance will be recognized and all students in Otto's Reading Program will be invited to take a group photo on the field after the game. The school with the most members will earn a special prize. To sign up to participate in Otto's Reading Program, school officials should call 1-888-DOMETIX.
Â
This year's home football schedule features six games. In addition to USF, the Orange hosts Colgate (Sept. 2), Louisville (Sept. 9), Virginia Tech (Oct. 15), NC State (Nov. 12) and Florida State (Nov. 19).Â
Season tickets are on sale now online, by phone (1-888-DOMETIX) and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B). Tickets start at $99 ($16.50 per game) with lower-level seats in the end zones available for as little as $125. The deadline for 2015 season ticket holders to renew their seats is April 29.
Â
Single-game tickets for all home games except Florida State go on sale June 21. Tickets to watch the Orange and Seminoles are tentatively scheduled to go on sale July 26. Tickets start at $20 for non-conference games, $25 for the Louisville and NC State games, and $30 for the Virginia Tech and Florida State contests.
All Orange fans are invited to join the athletics department's 'No Huddle Tour' featuring football coach Dino Babers, men's basketball coach Jim Boeheim and Director of Athletics Mark Coyle. The tour will make stops in Buffalo and Rochester on May 17, and Binghamton on May 18. Get all of the 'No Huddle Tour' details here.
