SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Area high school marching bands are invited to send off the Orange seniors as part of 'Band Day' for the football team's home finale on Saturday, Nov. 19 against Florida State.
The first 15 high school bands to sign up will participate in a pre-game performance on the Quad and a halftime performance on the field with the Syracuse University Marching Band – the "Pride of the Orange." Pre- and post-game snacks will be provided and participants also receive a 'Band Day' t-shirt. High school band directors can call 1-888-DOMETIX now to register their band and receive a game itinerary and music.
In addition to recognizing the team's senior student-athletes before the game, Syracuse Athletics will also honor "seniors" in our community. High school seniors (groups of 15+) are encouraged to help "fill in" for Syracuse University students on break. The game is also an excellent opportunity for senior citizen groups to host any of their annual events at the Carrier Dome.
Nov. 19 is also the second opportunity for area youth teams to receive a unique gameday experience. The first 10 youth teams to sign up will be invited down on the field prior to the contest. Following the game there will be opportunities to take photos of your team on the field.
Participants in Otto's Reading Program who earn a 'B' average will receive one complimentary ticket to watch the Orange and Seminoles. The deadline for educators to the submit their number of qualified students is Oct. 15. Schools and students in attendance will be recognized and invited down to the field for a post-game photo. The school with the most representatives will receive a special prize.  Â
This year's home football schedule features six games. In addition to Florida State, the Orange hosts Colgate (Sept. 2), Louisville (Sept. 9), USF (Sept. 17), Virginia Tech (Oct. 15) and NC State (Nov. 12).Â
Season tickets are on sale now online, by phone (1-888-DOMETIX) and at the Carrier Dome Box Office (Gate B). Tickets start at $99 ($16.50 per game) with lower-level seats in the end zones available for as little as $125.
Â
Single-game tickets for all home games except Florida State go on sale June 21. Tickets to watch the Orange and Seminoles are tentatively scheduled to go on sale July 26. Tickets start at $20 for non-conference games, $25 for the Louisville and NC State games, and $30 for the Virginia Tech and Florida State contests.
All Orange fans are invited to join the athletics department's 'No Huddle Tour' featuring football coach Dino Babers, men's basketball coach Jim Boeheim and Director of Athletics Mark Coyle. The tour will make stops in Buffalo and Rochester on May 17, and Binghamton on May 18. Get all of the 'No Huddle Tour' details here.
