
Orange Enter NCAA Tournament No. 6 in USILA Poll

'Cuse is also ranked fourth in the media poll
Despite an 18-3 win over Colgate in its lone contest of the week, the Syracuse men's lacrosse team (11-4) fell one spot in the USILA/NIKE Coaches poll to No. 6 in the final ranking.
The Orange will enter the NCAA Tournament as No. 4 in the Cascade/Maverik Media poll.
The USILA poll is the final poll of the 2016 season, while the media will have one more poll after Championship Weekend.
In both polls, Maryland is No. 1, with the Terrapins receiving 359 points and 17 first place votes to headline the coaches poll, Denver (330 points), Yale (303 points), Brown (298 points, one first place vote) and Notre Dame (297 points) round out the top five, with 'Cuse five points behind the Fighting Irish.
Albany, Syracuse's first round opponent, checks in at No. 9.
In the media poll, the Orange moved up one spot to No. 4 from last week. Maryland, Denver and Yale sit ahead of 'Cuse, with Brown behind to round out the top-five. Albany ranks eighth in the media poll.
Syracuse and the Great Danes are set to square off at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.
