Junior receiver wears same jersey number Harrison did at Syracuse
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse's all-time leading receiver Marvin Harrison received the ultimate recognition on Saturday night when he was formally inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Harrison became the eighth Syracuse representative enshrined in Canton. Only USC, Notre Dame and Ohio State have more inductees.
Harrison finished his professional career with 14,580 receiving yards, which ranks seventh on the NFL's all-time receiving yardage list, and he is one of only two players in league history to amass at least 14,000 receiving yards for one franchise. His 126 touchdown grabs are fifth all-time.
Following practice on Sunday morning, Cuse TV's Brian Higgins caught up with junior wide receiver Steve Ishmael, who dons the same number Harrison wore in his time at Syracuse. Ishmael grew up a fan of both Harrison and the Indianapolis Colts.Â
