Orange Continue Conference Schedule in Sunshine State

Florida State, Miami up next for ‘Cuse
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – With two games under their belt, the Orange volleyball team heads to Florida to continue ACC play at No. 15 Florida State and Miami. Syracuse meets the Seminoles first in a 7 p.m. Friday night game at Tully Gymnasium in Tallahassee, and then travels to Coral Gables for a 1 p.m. match against the Hurricanes at the James L. Knight Sports Complex on Sunday afternoon.
Both matches will be broadcast live on ACC Network Extra. Live stats will also be available.
The Orange (2-10, 1-1 ACC) take to the road after splitting the conference-opening weekend at home with a win over Boston College and a loss to NC State.
Syracuse faces nationally-ranked #15 Florida State for the fifth time in history, as the Seminoles (9-2, 2-0 ACC) hold a four-game lead over the Orange. With the first meeting in 1992, 'Cuse has met a nationally recognized Seminoles team three times on the court, as FSU was ranked 17th, 8th and 17th in 2013, 2014 and 2015, respectively.
The last time out, the Orange fell to the Seminoles in three sets (16-25, 19-25, 20-25), but led in blocking with 7.0 team blocks to FSU's 6.0.
The Orange will meet Miami (6-8, 0-2 ACC) for the seventh time on Sunday, as the Hurricanes lead the all-time series 6-0. Both members of the BIG EAST and now the ACC, the pair first met in 2002 and 2003, and have most recently met for three consecutive years as part of ACC conference play.
Last year, the Orange fell to the Hurricanes in three sets after forcing the second to extra points (17-25, 24-26, 17-25).
