NEWTON, Mass. – Syracuse looks to return to its winning ways when it takes on Boston College on Friday, Oct. 13. Match time is set for 6 p.m. at the Newton Lacrosse and Soccer Fields.

The Orange enter the game with a 5-6-2 record, while the Eagles snapped a four-game losing streak on Tuesday to improve their record to 4-8-0. Both teams are looking for their first win in ACC play this season. Syracuse is 0-4-1, while Boston College is 0-5-0.

SCOUTING THE EAGLES
Simon Enstrom is Boston College's leading scorer with 18 points. He is tied for fifth in the ACC in points and tied for third in goals with a team-high eight. Overall, eight players have scored at least one goal for the Eagles this season. Antonio Chavez Borrelli has played the majority of minutes in goal for Boston College. He has a .875 save percentage and a 1.67 goals-against average.

THE SERIES
Syracuse and Boston College will meet for the 30th time on Friday. The Eagles hold a 15-13-1 advantage in the series. The squads met every year from 1982-2004 when both were members of The BIG EAST Conference. Since the Orange joined the ACC, Syracuse has won three of the five meetings, including a 1-0 win at the SU Soccer Stadium that sent the Orange to the 2015 College Cup.

Last season, the teams met in Syracuse. Jonathan Hagman scored in the 50th minute on an assist from Johannes Pieles, and Kenny Lassiter added a goal in the second half as the Orange posted a 2-0 victory.
