COLUMBUS, Ohio – Syracuse travels to Columbus, Ohio on Wednesday, Oct. 18 for its final non-conference match of the regular season against Ohio State. Game time is set for 7 p.m.

Both teams will look to snap four-game losing streaks. Syracuse enters the game with a 5-7-2 record, while Ohio State is 7-5-1.

PIELES TAKES OVER AS LEADING SCORER
Sophomore Johannes Pieles scored his fourth goal of the season at Boston College. He now has a team-high 11 points this season. The 11 points are a career high for Pieles, as are the four goals. He has three goals in Syracuse's last five matches. Two of his three assists this season came in the Orange's victory against Northwestern.

SCOUTING THE BUCKEYES
Ohio State lost to No. 1 Indiana, 2-0, on Sunday, which extended its losing streak to four games. Abdi Mohamed leads Ohio State in every offensive statistical category. He has three goals and four assists for 10 points. Parker Siegfried has played the majority of minutes for the Buckeyes. He has a .810 save percentage and a 0.86 goals-against average.

THE SERIES
Syracuse and Ohio State will meet for the third time on Wednesday. The Buckeyes own a 1-0-1 advantage in the series. The squads first met in 1997 in Storrs, Conn. as part of the New England Ford Dealers Soccer Classic. Ohio State posted a 3-0 victory in that match. The teams last met in 2007 in Columbus where they played to a 0-0 draw.
