SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse women's volleyball team heads to Georgia Tech on Friday, Oct. 20 at 7 p.m., and Clemson on Sunday, Oct. 22 at 1 p.m. for a pair of ACC matches. The Orange (14-7, 6-2 ACC) was victorious against both opponents earlier this season in the Women's Building. Â

Gorelina Leads The Attack
Anastasiya Gorelina totaled a match-high 16 kills against Pittsburgh on Friday. She now leads 'Cuse with 186 kills on the season. Gorelina has led Syracuse in kills during seven of eight conference matches this season. She averages 3.93 kills per set in ACC play.      Â

The Yellow Jackets
'Cuse leads the all-time series 5-3 and is in search of its first ever win against GT at O'Keefe Gymnasium.        Â

Syracuse defeated Georgia Tech (8-11, 3-5) in three sets earlier this season. Gorelina and Ella Saada tied for a match-high 16 kills and Saada added 11 digs. Jalissa Trotter produced a match-leading 34 assists and Belle Sand led all competitors with 16 digs.

Gabriela Stavnetchei leads the Yellow Jacket attack with 277 kills. Gabby Benda has a team-high 463 assists and Sam Knapp has a team-leading 243 digs.

The Tigers
The Orange holds a 6-3 record against Clemson (5-15, 0-8 ACC) in the all-time series and has won the last four meetings.Â

'Cuse swept the Tigers in the previous matchup this year. Christina Oyawale set a program single-match record for hitting percentage (minimum 10 attempts) in the triumph. She tied for a team-high 11 kills to go along with her record-setting .917 hitting percentage. Gorelina posted 11 kills with 11 digs, Trotter contributed a match-high 24 assists and Sand added a match-leading 13 digs.
Kaylin Korte leads Clemson with 209 kills. Caroline Pearson has a team-high 452 assists and Madi Howell has a team-leading 239 digs.

Coach's Thoughts
"If we play to our ability in these two matches I think that we will do well," said head coach Leonid Yelin. "As long as we continue to implement what we have been practicing, and play our game, I think that we should have success."
