CLEMSON, S.C. – Syracuse and Clemson will meet for the seventh time in the last three years when they take to the pitch for the ACC Men's Soccer Tournament first round on Wednesday, Nov. 1. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at Historic Riggs Field in Clemson, S.C.

The Orange are the No. 12 seed in the tournament and enter Wednesday's match with a 6-8-3 overall record. The Tigers earned the No. 5 seed and finished the season with an 11-4 mark.

ORANGE IN THE ACC TOURNAMENT
Syracuse will play in the ACC Tournament for the fourth time since joining the league in 2013. Â The Orange earned the No. 2 seed in the 2014 ACC Tournament. Syracuse defeated Duke in the quarterfinals before losing to Louisville in the semifinals.

In 2015, the Orange were the No. 7 seed. Syracuse defeated NC State in the first round and then won a penalty kick shootout at North Carolina. In the semifinals, the Orange defeated Clemson, 2-0, to advance to the title game for the first time. Syracuse defeated Notre Dame, 1-0, in South Bend to claim the program's first ACC Championship.

Syracuse was the No. 5 seed in last year's ACC Tournament and defeated Pittsburgh in the first round to advance to the quarterfinals where it tied No. 4 seed Clemson, 1-1. The Tigers won the penalty kick shootout, 4-2.

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
Clemson is the No. 5 seed in the ACC Tournament after posting a 4-4-0 record in league play. The Tigers lost to Louisville in the regular-season finale and enter Wednesday's match with an 11-4-0 overall mark. Clemson is ranked No. 9 in the United Soccer Coaches poll and No. 15 in Soccer America's top 25.

Diego Campos is Clemson's leading scorer with nine goals and eight assists for 26 points. He ranks second in scoring in the ACC. Ximo Miralles is Clemson's starting goalkeeper. He has a 0.97 goals-against average and a .708 save percentage.

THE SERIES
Syracuse and Clemson will meet for the ninth time on Wednesday. The Orange own a 3-2-3 advantage in the series. Wednesday's match will be the seventh meeting between the two squads in the last three years. All seven of those games have been decided by one goal or less.

Earlier this season, the Tigers scored twice in the final 20 minutes to post a 2-1 come-from-behind victory at the SU Soccer Stadium.
