SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Orange (4-7, 2-5 ACC) conclude the regular season on Saturday, Nov. 25 when they host longtime rival Boston College (6-5, 3-4 ACC) at the Carrier Dome. Kickoff is 12:20 p.m. and the game will air on the ACC Network. Syracuse alum Tom Werme (play-by-play), Dave Archer (analyst) and D.J. Shockley (sideline) are on the call.
Saturday is Senior Day and the program will honor 15 players and three managers who will be making their last home appearance.
One of those who will be recognized is wideout Steve Ishmael, who can add two more school records to his list of achievements. Ishmael is 25 yards away from eclipsing Marvin Harrison's record for career receiving yardage (2,728). He also needs one more reception to break Amba Etta-Tawo's school season record of 94 catches established in 2016. Ishmael tied Etta-Tawo's mark with a pair of catches last weekend at Louisville.

The 18 members of the program scheduled be honored prior to kickoff for their contributions to the program are: Clay Austin, Sean Avant, Parris Bennett, Devin M. Butler, Zaire Franklin, Alex Grossman, Nathan Hines, Harrison Hope (mgr.), Steve Ishmael, Jake Larosche (mgr.), Zack Mahoney, Jordan Martin, Jamar McGloster, Cole Murphy, Chris Peters (mgr.), Ervin Philips, Jonathan Thomas and Austin Valdez.
EASTERN FOOTBALL HEAVYWEIGHTS
Syracuse and Boston College are among the 36 FBS programs with 650 all-time wins. The Orange have 720 (11 SU victories from 2004-06 were vacated by the NCAA), while the Eagles own 656.
Presented every year since 1936, the Lambert Meadowlands Trophy recognizes the best FBS team in the Northeast. Syracuse has claimed the trophy six times, most recently in 1992, which is tied for third on the list behind Penn State (30) and Army (7). Boston College has earned the award five times, most recently in 2004.
Syracuse and Boston College have each produced one national championship. The Orange won the crown in 1959 and the Eagles claimed the title in 1940. In addition, Syracuse (15) and Boston College (14) have 29 bowl victories between them. Both programs also boast a Heisman Trophy winner (Syracuse – Ernie Davis, 1959; Boston College – Doug Flutie, 1984).
ABOUT BOSTON COLLEGE
Boston College is in its fifth season under head coach Steve Addazio. Addazio holds a 30-32 record at the helm of the Eagles. Prior to his stint at Boston College, Addazio was the head coach at from 2011-12.
The Eagles are dependent on their rushing attack. BC averages 202.7 rushing yards per game, which ranks fourth in the ACC and 31st nationally. AJ Dillon leads the way with 245 carries for 1,267 yards and 10 touchdowns. He is averaging 112.6 yards per game.Â
Boston College possesses one of the top pass defenses in the nation. The Eagles have held opposing quarterbacks to a 95.8 efficiency rating, which ranks third nationally. BC is 23rd in the country against the pass allowing just 187.5 yards per game through the air. Safety Lukas Denis ranks third nationally with five interceptions this season.Â
BC return man Michael Walker leads the FBS with 973 combined kick return yards. Walker averages 23.7 yards per kickoff return and 14.2 yards per punt return.
Boston College is one of the most disciplined teams in the country. The Eagles have been penalized just 37 times for 291 yards this season, both of which lead the nation.
COACHING CONNECTIONS
Boston College defensive line coach Paul Pasqualoni served as the Syracuse head coach from 1991-2004. In his 14 seasons at the helm of the program, Pasqualoni guided the Orange to a 107-59-1 overall record and BIG EAST Conference titles.
Steve Addazio was a part of the Syracuse coaching staff from 1995-98, coaching the Orange offensive line under Pasqualoni. During that four-year span, Syracuse posted a 35-14 overall, won three conference championships, and went 23-5 in BIG EAST competition.
Boston College assistants Jim Reid (defensive coordinator/linebackers) and Brian White (running backs) also spent part of their careers in Syracuse. Reid was Pasqualoni's defensive line coach in 2004. White served two seasons (2006-07) Syracuse's offensive coordinator and tight ends coach under Greg Robinson.
BC Assistant Athletics Director for Football Operations and Player Personnel Reggie Terry played for the Orange from 1989-93. Following his playing career, Terry served as a graduate assistant and administrative supervisor in the Syracuse athletic department from 1993-99. He then worked as the director of football operations and player development, and associate director of athletics for football operations from 2000-06.

Saturday's matchup is the 51st meeting between Syracuse and Boston College. The Orange own a 31-19 advantage in the all-time series and have won five of the last seven matchups.
In last season's pairing, Eric Dungey passed for 434 yards and three touchdowns to lead Syracuse to a 28-20 victory. Steve Ishamel finished the game with eight catches for 108 yards and a score. Parris Bennett recorded 11 tackles and intercepted a pass.
The last time the Eagles visited the Dome was Scott Shafer's final game as Orange head coach. Kicker Cole Murphy drilled a 35-yard field goal with no time left to lift Syracuse to a 20-17 victory that day.Â
