
Orange in the NFL - Week 9

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Eight former members of the Syracuse University football program, including former head coach and offensive lineman Doug Marrone, were in action during Week 9 of the 2017 NFL season.
A recent addition to the Seahawks, Dwight Freeney has already made his presence felt, posting three sacks in two games with Seattle this season. Freeney ranks second among active NFL players in career sacks with 125.5 during his 15-year professional career.

Jay Bromley, DT, New York Giants
- Recorded a season-high three tackles against the Los Angeles Rams on Nov. 5.
Â
Riley Dixon, P, Denver Broncos
- Averaged 50.3 yards on six punts in Denver's 51-23 loss to Philadelphia on Nov. 5.

Dwight Freeney, DE, Seattle Seahawks
- Recorded two sacks in his second game with Seattle against Washington on Nov. 5.
Arthur Jones, DT, Washington Redskins
- Played, but did not record any statistics in Washington's 17-14 victory over Seattle on Nov. 5.

Chandler Jones, OLB, Arizona Cardinals
- Recorded a pair of tackles, including one sack, against San Francisco on Nov. 5.

Justin Pugh, OL, New York Giants
- Did not play for the first time this season as the Giants lost to the Rams 51-17 on Nov. 5.

Cameron Lynch, LB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Played, but did not record any statistics in Tampa Bay's 30-10 loss to New Orleans on Nov. 5.

Shamarko Thomas, DB, Buffalo Bills
 - Recorded a special teams tackle in Buffalo's 34-21 loss to the New York Jets on Nov. 2.
Doug Marrone, Head Coach, Jacksonville Jaguars
 - Coached the Jaguars to a 23-7 victory over Cincinnati on Nov. 5.
