MIAMI, Fla. – Syracuse faces No. 2 Kansas in a battle of unbeatens on Saturday, Dec. 2 in the Hoophall Miami Invitational. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. at the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, Fla.

For Starters
- Syracuse defeated Maryland, 72-70, in the Big Ten/ACC Challenge Monday night to improve to 6-0 this season.

- Four different players scored in double figures in the win. Sophomore Tyus Battle hit a go-ahead 3-pointer with 59 seconds remaining and finished with 18 points. Freshman Oshae Brissett totaled 15 points and 13 rebounds. Junior Frank Howard notched 15 points along with 10 assists and a career-high seven steals.

- The Orange and the Jayhawks will meet for the sixth time. Syracuse leads the all-time series 3-2 and has won the last two meetings.

Scouting the Jayhawks
- Kansas enters the matchup with a 6-0 and has beaten its opponents by an average of 33.0 points per game. The Jayhawks most recently defeated Toledo, Oakland and Texas Southern in Hoophall Miami Invitational contests.

- Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk leads Kansas with 18.2 points per game and is shooting 56.4 percent from 3-point range (22-of-39). Udoka Azubuike (16.0), Lagerald Vick (15.8), Devonte Graham (15.8) and Malik Newman (13.5) all average double-digit scoring. Marcus Garrett leads the Jayhawks with 7.2 rebounds per game.

- Bill Self is in his 14th season at the helm of the Kansas Program. He led the Jayhawks to their 12^th-straight regular-season Big 12 Conference title in the 2016-17 campaign. Self also helped Kansas win a national championship in the 2007-08 season.
