Basketball Honors Kelly Seubert With Uniform Patch

SYRACUSE, NY – The Syracuse University men's basketball program is honoring former administrative assistant Kelly Seubert with a patch on all game uniforms. Seubert passed away in August after a courageous battle with cancer.
Seubert was on Coach Jim Boeheim's staff as the lead administrative assistant for 13 years. She played an intricate role in most of the operational duties in the basketball office and was especially adept at multi-tasking. In addition to her work specific to the basketball program, Seubert was also involved with the Jim Boeheim Basketball Camp.
The patch includes the capital letter "K" and a heart. It is positioned on the front of Syracuse's uniform above "Orange" on the white jersey and "Syracuse" on the club's orange jersey.
The team is wearing uniforms with the patch for the first time on Sunday, December 31, when the Orange take on Virginia Tech in the Carrier Dome. The patches will remain on the uniforms for the remainder of the season. In addition, the coaching staff is wearing a commemorative pin designed to look like the patch.
