MLS Cup Preview: Former Orange Prepared for Title Match

Former Orange Alex Bono, Oyvind Alseth and Sergio Camargo will try to lead Toronto FC to its first Major League Soccer (MLS) Cup on Saturday, Dec. 9 at 4 p.m. The game is a rematch of last year's final, which the Seattle Sounders won in a shootout. Fans can watch the game on ESPN and ESPN3.

TFC has already won the Canadian Championship and set the regular-season points record this season. Toronto FC advanced past the New York Red Bulls and Columbus Crew in the two-leg aggregate-score series.

Bono has played a big role in the squad's success this season. He is in his first season as Toronto's full-time starter in goal and broke the franchise single-season record for shutouts. Bono is the winningest goalkeeper in the league this season.

Alseth, who was drafted by Toronto FC in the third round of last year's MLS SuperDraft, has appeared in four matches this season. He also played in 13 games for Toronto FC II of the USL. Camargo signed as a homegrown player in 2016. He has not made an appearance with TFC, but did see action for Toronto FC II.
