The Syracuse men's track and field team began its quest for a second-straight ACC Indoor Championship on Thursday with a fourth place finish in the distance medley relay.
The men's DMR was the lone event on Thursday for both the Orange men and women, which will kick off a full slate of events on Friday.
Joel Hubbard, Pascal Bastein, Paul Lovell and Adam Palamar comprised 'Cuse's DMR squad on Thursday, which crossed the line in 9:40.34. Virginia Tech won the event in 9:31.05, with Florida State and Notre Dame also edging the Orange in the event.
The finish was good for five team points, which has the Orange in seventh place as a team after day one. Virginia picked up 15 points on the day to lead the men's competition.
Friday's action will get underway with one of Syracuse's best events – the 60-meter hurdles – at 2 p.m. A full event-by event breakdown of the Orange's events can be found here: ACCITF Preview.
